Interviewer: Sarah, for someone just starting in real estate, what’s the best way to get started with the Real Estate Success Academy?
Sarah Olson: The first thing I recommend is signing up for our free webinar. It’s a high-level overview of the key things new agents need to avoid. I share a lot of free insights during the webinar, especially when people ask questions.
The goal is to help agents make smart decisions from the start and save them from the costly mistakes I see so many agents make during their first year.
Interviewer: That sounds like a great starting point. What’s the next step after the webinar for someone who wants to take their career further?
Sarah Olson: After the webinar, I suggest enrolling in our cohort class. It’s a more in-depth experience that really sets agents up for success. It’s an investment, and while it may be a financial stretch, I guarantee that it will save you money in the long run.
New agents often spend a lot of money on the wrong things in their first year, and our program helps you avoid those mistakes. We also offer a payment plan to make it more accessible.
Interviewer: Can you share a success story from one of your students who’s gone through the program?
Sarah Olson: Absolutely! Nicole is a great example. She moved from Ocala to Jacksonville and had a background in high-end catering. When COVID slowed down the hospitality industry, she decided to get her real estate license.
I mentored her through the transition and encouraged her to go full-time, even though she initially planned to work part-time. In her first year, she closed 17 homes! She’s now a top producer, and in her fifth year, she’s running her own first-time homebuyer and seller webinars. She’s also collaborating with sponsors to grow her business even further and offset her out of pocket expenses.
Interviewer: That’s an amazing success story! For someone considering joining the program, what advice would you give them?
Sarah Olson: I’d tell them that getting into real estate is a big commitment, and you need to be all-in if you want to succeed. In real estate, everyone wants a piece of you before you’ve made any money, and it can be overwhelming.
But if you stick to a proven system, like the one we teach in the Real Estate Success Academy, it’ll save you time and money in the long run. Focus, stay disciplined, and don’t be afraid to invest in yourself—because when you’re successful, it all comes full circle.
